Exploring and exploiting molecular recognition using covalent chemistry under thermodynamic control

Abstract

Sometimes chemistry is easy—mix a set of building blocks, link them together using a reversible covalent reaction and let molecular recognition take care of the rest. Such thermodynamically-controlled covalent synthesis enables exploration of molecular recognition with renewed vigour and access to new synthetic receptors with unprecedented efficiency.
