Ionic liquid assisted preparation of nanostructured TiO2 particles

Abstract

Anatase-containing nanostructured TiO2 particles with high surface area have been synthesized using a water immiscible room temperature ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate) as an effective additional solvent by the sol–gel method at low temperature.
