Metal-chelating nanoparticles as selective fluorescent sensor for Cu2+

Abstract

A fluorescent sensor for Cu2+ at the nanomolar level in water has been designed by associating a BODIPY fluorophore and a selective ligand (cyclam) in ultrafine polymer nanoparticles.
