Simultaneous introduction of chemical and spatial effects via a new bimodal catalyst support preparation method

Abstract

Nano-sized zirconiasilica bimodal catalyst supports are prepared by direct introduction of zirconia sol into silica gel, which improved supported cobalt catalyst activity significantly via a spatial effect and a chemically promotional effect of zirconia in liquid-phase Fisher–Tropsch synthesis (FTS).
