The values of the ¹J(¹⁹⁹Hg¹⁹⁹Hg) coupling constant in solution of the asymmetric dimercury(2+) complexes with the stoichiometries Hg₂²⁺/18-crown-6 and Hg₂²⁺/18-crown-6/15-crown-5 are 220300 and 284100 Hz, respectively, representing the largest scalar couplings measured.
