Synthesis and 13C NMR Assignment of Ammonium Benzylidenepropanedioates and Benzylidenepropanediamides

Abstract

Mono- and di-ammonium benzylidenepropanedioates are synthesised, the molecular structure of a mono-ammonium salt confirmed by X-ray diffraction, and the 13C NMR spectra of the salts and the related benzylidenepropanediamides assigned.
