[triple bond, length half m-dash]CH···π versus[triple bond, length half m-dash]CH···Halogen interactions—the crystal structures of the 4-halogenoethynylbenzenes

Abstract

The crystal structures of the 4-halogenoethynylbenzenes are quite similar and exhibit [triple bond, length half m-dash]CH···π interactions, whereas the structure of 4-fluoroethynylbenzene has very interesting and rare intermolecular [triple bond, length half m-dash]CH···F contacts.
