A novel luminescent tetranuclear copper(I) acetylide with open-cube structure

Abstract

A novel luminescent tetranuclear copper(I) acetylide [ Cu4(PPh3)43η11, η2-C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CC6H4OMe-p)3]+ 1 with open-cube structure is synthesized and its photoredox activities studied; the X-ray crystal structure of 1 is also reported.
