The two metal–organic complex salts [Co(C₅H₄Me)₂]PF₆ and [Fe(C₆H₆)(C₅H₅)]PF6 are tested as structure-directing agents in the synthesis of pure silica zeotype materials and give the clathrasil structure dodecasil-1H only in the suivent free synthesis system SiO2–NH₄F–metal complex.
