Synthesis and crystal structure of a dinuclear copper(II) complex with a novel tetrapyrazolyl macrocycle
Abstract
A novel 30-membered macrocycle containing four endocylic, neutral pyrazole groups, binds two CuII ions, where a flexible propylene spacer separates the CuII ions by 7.14 Å; the crystals structure of the mixed-anion complex [Cu2(L)Cl2(EtOH)2](NO3)2shows that each CuII ion is bound in a square-pyramidal N4X chromophore.
