Dalton communications. Synthesis, photophysical properties and crystal structure of a luminescent binuclear three-co-ordinated gold(I) complex without metal–metal interaction

Abstract

The complex cation [Au2L3]2+[L = 2,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)pyridine] has an intramolecular Au ⋯ Au separation of 4.866 Å as determined by X-ray crystallography and displayed photoluminescence at 520 nm in fluid solutions at room temperature.
