Intercalation of redox-active organometallic cubane clusters into layered metal oxides and related solids

Abstract

The preparation and solid state properties of compounds formed by intercalation of redox-active cubane cluster compounds [Fe4(η-C5H4Me)43-S)4] and [Mo4(η-C5H4Pri)43-Se)4] into MoO3 or FeOCl, and of related organometallic intercalation compounds, is described.
