[Fe4S4(SH)4]2–, the simplest synthetic analogue for a ferredoxin

Abstract

(PPh4)2[Fe4S4(SH)4] is obtained by the reaction of (η5-C5H5)Fe(CO)2l with H2S in organic solvents in the presence of air and (PPh4)Br, and its X-ray crystal structure has been determined.
