Catalytic oxidation of alk-1-enes to aldehydes

Abstract

Aldehydes are the major products of the catalytic oxidation of alk-1-enes with air using a catalyst that comprises (MeCN)2PdClNO2, CuCl2, and a tertiary alcohol.
