Abstract

The reaction of chlorodiphenylphosphine with S4N4 in acetonitrile produces the six-membered heterocycle (Ph2PN)2NSCl, which is converted into a tricyclic ring on treatment with Me3SiNSNSiMe3; the structures of these new PSN ring systems have been determined by X- ray crystallography.
