Bis(trimethyltin)bis-(η-toluene)-hafnium and -zirconium; X-ray crystal structure of the hafnium compound

Abstract

Treatment of the compound [Hf(η-C6H5Me)2-PMe3] with hexamethylditin gives the compound [Hf(η-C6H5Me)2(SnMe3)2], a d2, bent bis-arene derivative, the crystal structure of which has been determined; the analogous zirconium compound is similarly prepared.
