Abstract

Reaction of [Fe(1,5-C₈H₁₂)₂] with P(OMe)₃ affords [Fe(1,3-C₈H₁₂){P(OMe)₃}₃], whereas, PF₃, Co, and Bu^tNC give [Fe(1,5-C₈H₁₂)L₃](L = PF₃, CO, or Bu^tNC); in contrast Ph₂PCH₂CH₂PPh₂ and dinitrogen give the Fe⁰ dinitrogen complex [Fe(N₂)(Ph₂PCH₂CH₂PPh₂)].
