Bistrimethylsilylamidocopper: a useful reagent for conversion of aryl iodides into primary aromatic amines

Abstract

Aryl iodides couple with (Me3Si)2NCu to give ArN(SiMe3)2 compounds which, upon methanolysis, yield primary amines, ArNH2.
