Substituent-induced asymmetry of the cyclopropane ring

Abstract

Analysis of the planar moments of cyclopropyl derivatives studied by microwave spectroscopy indicates a consistent shortening of the C–C bond opposite an unsaturated substituent compared with the corresponding length opposite saturated substituents.
