The biosynthesis of phenols. Part XVI. Further carbon-14 labelling studies relating to the biosynthesis of sulochrin

Abstract

Further degradation studies of [14C]sulochrin isolated from cultures of Aspergillus terreus in a medium containing [2-14]acetic acid have established that this metabolite is derived from two separate chains of acetate–malonate units.
