2009 Dalton Transactions N. American Lectureship Announced
28 August 2009
Francois Gabbai has been awarded the 2009 Dalton Transactions North American Lectureship, in recognition of his internationally recognised contributions to the field of polyfunctional Lewis acids.
The aim of the Dalton Transactions lectureship is to enhance communication between some of the best researchers in inorganic chemistry, by offering the awardee an opportunity to present their work and subsequently spend time interacting with students, postdocs and faculty at a host university.
Professor Gabbai will present the Dalton Transactions North American lecture at the Department of Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, on Friday 18th September 2009.

| François Gabbaï has been at the Department of Chemistry at Texas A&M since 1998, where he now holds a Davidson Professorship in Science. His research interests include polyfunctional Lewis acids for the molecular recognition of both anionic and neutral electron rich species; electroactive boranes and their reductions into radicals; and polynuclear fluorinated organomercurials for the construction of supramolecules. |
