Michael Sailor
Michael J. Sailor is Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego. He received his undergraduate education from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California and obtained a Ph.D. in synthetic inorganic chemistry at Northwestern in 1988. The research projects in Professor Sailor's group involve the chemistry, electrochemistry, and photophysics of nanophase semiconductors, with emphasis on silicon-based materials. Studies focus on applications in environmental and medical sensors, high-throughput screening, and implantable biomaterials
