Link icon US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
publishes laboratory analytical methods used by industries and municipalities to analyse the chemical and biological components of wastewater, drinking water, sediment, and other environmental samples that are required by EPA regulations under the authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Link icon Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA)
provides an alphabetical list of chemicals that have either a validated or partially validated OSHA method. Some chemicals may be listed by their common synonym. The index includes the method number, validation status, CAS number, analytical instrument and sampling device.

Link icon National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH) Manual of Analytical Methods (NMAM)
a collection of methods for sampling and analysis of contaminants in workplace air, and in the blood and urine of workers who are occupationally exposed. These methods have been developed or adapted by NIOSH or its partners and have been evaluated according to established experimental protocols and performance criteria. NMAM also includes chapters on quality assurance, sampling, portable instrumentation.

Link icon Infrared and Raman Discussion Group
one of the oldest independent spectroscopy groups in the UK. It is the national organisation which caters for all who are interested in the theory, practice and teaching of Infrared & Raman spectroscopy.

Link icon Coblentz Society
a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to foster the understanding and application of vibrational spectroscopy.

Link icon Chemfinder
indexes many hundreds of Web sites that contain free chemical and spectroscopic data. It is possible to search the site using CAS Registry numbers, the most effective means of searching for any chemical substance. The site offers a much quicker alternative to the large search engines such as Lycos or Hotbot.

Link icon Internet Journal of Vibrational Spectroscopy
this journal has been free from 1998. It contains articles, spectral data, news, product information, further links and comments.

Link icon Chemiluminescence Spectroscopy
information on chemiluminescence spectroscopy, produced by San Houston State University.

Link icon NIST Chemistry WebBook
Free access to spectroscopic data

Link icon SDBS
NMR & MS data

Link icon Spectroscopy Now
free-access spectroscopy portal covering the major techniques including mass, infrared, NMR & atomic spectroscopy.
