The RSC maintains registers and directories whose purpose is to identify those members who have demonstrated a high level of competence in certain fields.
Under the terms of its Charter the RSC is required to serve the public interest by upholding and advancing the standards of qualifications and competence of those who practise chemistry as a profession.
