Color temperature control of quantum dot white light emitting diodes by grafting organic fluorescent molecules

Abstract

White-light emitting single compounds were synthesized by grafting blue-emission fluorescent molecules onto yellow emitting CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots (QDs) and white light emitting diodes (WLEDs) were demonstrated. Facile adjustment of color temperature was also demonstrated by controlling the size of quantum dots and the amount of grafted organic blue-emitting molecules.
