Symposium Information
Molecular magnetism designates a field of research focusing on the employment of molecular approaches to create magnetic materials whose properties can be tuned at the molecular level. The evolution of the field has been rapid moving from the design of new molecule-based magnets possessing higher critical temperatures, toward the development of more complex magnetic materials with one or more functional properties of interest - bistable magnetic materials with switching properties, or multifunctional materials coupling magnetism with a second property - to the synthesis and investigation of nanosized magnetic molecules exhibiting quantum effects and molecular spintronics.
This symposium aims to highlight recent progress and perspectives in this multidisciplinary playground illustrating current state-of-the-art science and identifying key challenges and emerging areas of interest for the future development of the field.
